Working title: "Effects of flow velocity and particle concentration on magnetic field-induced enrichment efficiency of superparamagnetic nanoparticles for drug transport in different flow phantoms"

The effects of the parameters of flow velocity, particle concentration and particle size of two different superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticle systems on their enrichment efficiencies under an electromagnet also used for in vivo experiments at SEON are investigated. The experiments will be performed first in silicone tubes, then in 3D-printed straight tubes, and then in 3D-printed tumor phantoms. In addition to the experiments in the flow phantoms, simulations of the enrichment will be developed in cooperation with the Department of Applied Mathematics at FAU and compared with the results of the enrichment experiments.
