Working title: "Functionalization of primary human T cells with superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPION) for magnetic cell targeting in anti-cancer immune therapy"
For tumor therapy, we are establishing the magnetic targeting of primary human T cell functionalized with superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) to increase the infiltration of immunologically “cold” tumors with immune cells like cytotoxic T cells, which is associated with a better clinical prognosis. Our aim is to transfer the successful in vitro cell culture model of magnetic accumulation of functionalized T cells to an in vivo model.
