Endothelizer® (VascuZell)

The Endothelizer® is a cell-seeding equipment which enables the user to coat the inner surface of tubular structures with vascular cells. Among its multiple applications, the Endothelizer® can be used to cover the inner surface of vascular grafts with endothelial cells to improve their biocompatibility, or to fabricate vascular tissue models for drug or implant screening experiments.


  • paraffin embedding station EG 1150H (Leica), equipped with microprocessor-based control. The large, heated working surface with integrated cooling spot has a paraffin drain as well as heated bowls for compartments for both embedding forms.
  • Rotational microtome RM 2255(Leica)
  • Cryostat MNT (Slee), a fully automated rotational microtome for frozen section histology that can be cooled down to -35°C within a short time. For sample preparation, 24 directly cooled preparation positions are available.
